Spectral Distortions
Spectral Distortions is the first photobook we made, with pictures by Noel M. Lhez, the head of the studio. It’s an experimental book, using trichrome process to achieve color pictures out of black and white film.
The process of trichroming a picture consists on taking three diferent pictures, each one with a different colored filter (red, green and blue), and then digitaly merging them together (in this case it was digital, we are not sure they can be made on an enlarger, but we did try!).
The result is a picture that shifts on the color spectrum, since time pases and subjects move between each picture being taken.
Photos taken with a Nikon FM10 and kentmere 400 B&W film.
